20 Of The Best Christmas Tree Bauble Decorations For 2022

One of my favourite posts to put together each year is a round-up of the best Christmas tree baubles and decorations. Every year I invest in one new bauble - it’s a budget-friendly way to add something new to my seasonal decor scheme and becomes a token of the year it was purchased. There are some brilliant baubles out there for 2022 (with the independent brands stocking the best range), so here are my 20 top picks:

Handmade marbled baubles via Style Your Spaces:

Style Your Spaces is a female-owned, independent home decor shop based in Edinburgh (and one of my favourite places to source new and original homeware). Among the curated array of Christmas decorations from small brands, artists and makers that Style Your Spaces stock are these marbled baubles suspended on a thick velvet ribbon. As each is made by hand they often vary in appearance, so owner Katie tends to photograph in bulk on the Style Your Spaces Instagram rather than list them individually online. DM her directly if you cannot find the exact marble bauble you are looking for via the shop (worldwide shipping available).

Broste Copenhagen Bells Via Rose & Grey Interiors:

One of my favourite tree decoration finds this year are these modern bells in punchy colours from Broste Copenhagen. They also come in mustard + blue and orange + yellow, but blue and pink for me is the clear winner. Purchase them via Rose & Grey Interiors.

Two Gold Peas In A Pod by Minnie-Mae:

Margate-based ceramicist Minnie-Mae makes some really gorgeous things and her Christmas decoration offering this year of two gold peas in a pod is both beautiful and original. Featuring two 24ct gold lustre peas in a pod, each is hand-rolled using clay produced in Stoke.

Bloomingville Raffia Bell Christmas Decoration:

More pretty bells, but this time more boho in style (if glossy decorations are not your thing). Made from raffia, these bells come as a set of 3 and can be purchased via Smallable.

Wood-turned limited edition tree decorations from Folie Chambre:

I’ve featured Folie Chambre a lot on the blog this year; they were the first brand to sell beautifully lacquered bobbin mirrors and lamps way before the trend trickled down to the high street. For Christmas, they have created a limited run of lacquered hanging tree decorations, each hand turned on a lathe in Yorkshire. You can buy them online or at their Christmas pop-up in London in December.

Forever Heart from Rockett St George:

A classic punky bauble with a tattoo-style sash from Rockett St George. Buy online or in their concession in Liberty.

Hand-painted ceramic decorations from The Drawing Room:

Featuring on-trend waves and squiggles, these baubles are painted and varnished by hand in London, making each one unique. Buy now via their online shop.

Hand-painted Daisy Baubles from Spicer & Wood:

My current obsession with combining blue and yellow (I’ve just decorated my bathroom in these colours) led me to these hand-painted daisy baubles from Spicer & Wood. I love that they aren’t traditional ‘Christmas colours,’ which makes them stand out from the rest. Made from recycled paper, they are sold individually here.

Grecian Bust Pot Tree Decoration by Anthropologie:

Perfect for houseplant lovers and in a super on-trend Greek bust pot, this 14cm high decoration is currently on sale at Anthropologie.

Chadwick Hand painted Decoration from Oliver Bonas:

Who doesn’t love those vintage dog ornaments? A couple of these smaller scale white and blue ceramic dog decorations from Oliver Bonas would make a great gift for a stylish friend.

6 Pack Handmade Glass Baubles, M&S:

Brown, chocolate and tan baubles are super-sophisticated and look so good when mixed with burgundy for a ‘traditional yet modern’ take on Christmas. This set of six glass baubles from Marks & Spencer suspended on twine string is a great buy at £10 a pack.

Ceramic bells from Maro:

A new addition to my tree this year (I have the bell with ivy detailing) is this ceramic bell with porcelain clapper, suspended on a claret velvet ribbon. Handmade in Leicestershire, each one is unique and available to purchase via Maro. Choose from three designs: ivy, plain or dotted. DM on Instagram to purchase.

Glass Fig Christmas Decoration from Fortnum & Mason:

Food-themed baubles have really become popular over the past 5 years and my pick of the foodie decorations this year is this mouth-blown glass fig from Fortnum & Mason.

Honeycomb Tassel Paper Decoration by Dunelm:

Scandi-style paper decorations are now a design staple and Dunelm offers a budget-friendly range at just £2 per bauble. My favourite is this deep merlot colour with added tassel which ramps up the Christmas glamour.

piped bauble from lamp London:

Independent retailer Lamp London (who have a shop in Peckham) are stocking these stunning handmade piped baubles from London-based illustrator and designer Heather Evelyn. These colour-blocked baubles are adorned with luxury gold piping and come in a range of colours, but who can resist pink and red together?

OYOY Acorn Wooden Decoration, Set of 2:

Made from real oak wood, these Scandinavian Oak Hanging Tree Decorations from OYOY come in a light or dark colouring and also have a little gold tag which is a nice touch. A tree decoration that will last and can be treasured forever, but now via Dotmaison.

3 Pack Collection Luxe Dried Floral Christmas Baubles:

A couple of years ago I handmade my own dried floral tree decorations as are such a pretty and effective display on a tree. This year, NEXT is selling its own version.

ferm Living Glass Baubles Large, Mixed, Set of 4:

One of the leading homeware brands for design, these glass baubles from Ferm Living’s AW22 collection are elegant and understated and come in the most perfect soft pastel hues. Purchase them via Dotmaison.

Hand painted decorations from Polly Fern:

A huge sell-out last year, you need to subscribe to Polly Fern’s newsletter in order to secure one of her delicate tree decorations when they go on sale for Christmas 2022 (last year, they all sold out in 15 minutes). See more of Polly’s work at her pop-up shop at the Pentreath & Hall Bloomsbury store between 13th-17th December.

The social media ‘like’ decoration:

For your influencer friend or family member, this brilliant social media ‘like’ decoration is on sale at the Design Museum Shop. You can also purchase it online via Trouva.
