Easy Easter Craft Idea: Air Drying Clay Bunny Gift Tags
I wanted to personalise the Easter gifts that I was giving to the young children in my family, so I made these bunny gift tags using a cookie cutter and air drying clay! I wrote their names using a stamping kit, but you could also use a paint pen.
To make this craft, you will need:
One pack of air drying clay
A rolling pin
1 straw
Ribbon
Hot glue
A stamping kit or a paint pen
Roll out your clay with the rolling pin until it is about 4 mm in thickness (you don’t want your name tag to be too thin so that it snaps). Using the cookie cutter, cut out a number of bunny shapes in the clay.
Using the straw, cut out a small hole between the bunny ears to thread your ribbon. Make sure the hole isn’t too near the edge of the bunny, as you don’t want the clay to crumble away.
If the surface of your clay bunny isn’t smooth, dampen your forefinger with some water and rub it over the top to get rid of any imperfections.
Leave your clay to dry. It’s a good idea to keep turning your bunnies so that air can access all sides of the gift tag.
Once dry, glue a pom-pom to the base of the bunny for a cute tail! Thread some ribbon through the hole so that you can attach your bunny to your gift and use your stamping kit or pen to write the name of the recipient!
You could also make these clay bunnies to hang on your Easter tree!
