Adding A Modern Sheer Cafe Curtain In My Bathroom

Hello! I’ve taken most of the summer off writing the blog to take care of my son over the school holidays. While I’ve not been writing, during that time, I have still been making a few small updates in the house, starting with a new window treatment in our family bathroom. In here, I’ve added a patterned sheer cafe curtain using a modern fabric woven in the UK by Imogen Heath Interiors.

I’ve wanted to add a sheer curtain in here ever since I renovated the bathroom three years ago. However, previously, I could only ever find plain sheer fabric, and I knew I wanted something with more detail and interest. It was only when I visited Decorex last October that I discovered the forthcoming sheer fabric collection from Imogen Heath, adorned with colourful, playful patterns.

I chose the Sarah mini Ochre design as I felt the organic lines worked well with the wiggle wallpaper in here. I then had my local curtain maker run up a curtain panel the width of the sash window.

I really love the final look. The sheer lets in all the natural light, all while adding interest and privacy.
